Why We Keep a Terms & Conditions Page (and How It Protects You and Us)
At Alpha General Construction, we keep things simple: put it in writing, do what we said we’d do, and stand behind it. Our Terms & Conditions page isn’t fine print—it’s how we run projects. It sets expectations, prevents misunderstandings, and keeps everyone accountable. It protects you. It protects us. It keeps the job moving.
How It Protects You
You see exactly what’s included. No guessing, no surprises. If you add something later, we price it as a change order and you approve it first.
You get legal protection. We sign a written contract on every job. It binds both sides and can stand up in court—whether that’s a contractor who runs off with a deposit or a client who refuses to pay for finished work.
You get a clear warranty. Every job includes a 1‑year limited workmanship warranty with a simple process to request service.
You get peace of mind. Everything is agreed to before work starts.
How It Protects Us
Scope stays in control. “One more thing” doesn’t become unpaid work.
Payments are predictable. We collect a 50% deposit to schedule, then progress payments as listed in your estimate.
Safety and access are clear. Parking, utilities, and safe access are spelled out so our crew can work efficiently.
Communication is organized. Hours are Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. We reply within 24 business hours. Weekends are for emergencies only.
Accountability runs both ways. The contract protects both parties—that’s how it should be.
What’s in Our Terms (Plain English)
Scope & Changes
We build what’s in the signed estimate. New requests are written up with price and time impact. We continue after you approve them.
Payments
A 50% deposit locks your spot on the schedule. Remaining payments follow the milestones in your estimate. Invoices are due as stated; late invoices may include a small finance charge.
Hidden or Unforeseen Conditions
We can’t see through walls, floors, or slab. If we find rot, code issues, or damage, we document it, price it fairly, and get your approval before moving on.
Access, Safety & Site Readiness
You provide access, parking, and normal utilities. Keep pets and kids out of the work zone. If a condition isn’t safe, we pause until it is.
Scheduling & Weather
Dates are estimates. Weather, inspections, or supply delays can shift schedules. We’ll keep you posted and adjust as needed.
Materials & Substitutions
If a product is unavailable, we’ll recommend a comparable option for your approval. Substitutions can affect cost or timing.
Clean‑Up & Property Care
We protect adjacent areas and clean up daily. Construction creates dust and noise—we keep it reasonable and tidy.
Photos & Portfolio
We often photograph finished work for our portfolio. We never share addresses or personal info. If you’d rather we skip photos, tell us.
Warranty
Our labor is covered for one year from completion. Manufacturer warranties on materials pass through to you. Misuse or modifications by others aren’t covered—we’ll explain why if it comes up.
Dispute Path
If there’s an issue, we talk first. If that doesn’t solve it, we follow a straightforward local path—mediation or small‑claims in Midland County, Texas.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Give reasonable notice if you need to move dates. Last‑minute cancellations may forfeit part of the deposit or include a scheduling fee, especially if materials were ordered.
Privacy
We use your info to run your project and keep you updated. We don’t sell client data. Ever.
Real Situations This Prevents
“I thought that was included.”
If it isn’t in the signed scope, it’s a change order. You see the price, approve it, and we keep moving.
“The contractor took off with my money.”
Our signed contract and payment schedule prevent that—and they’re enforceable if someone tries it.
“Why are we behind schedule?”
Weather, inspections, and supply issues happen. Our Terms explain how we handle delays, and you’ll hear from us quickly.
“This chipped six months later.”
If it’s workmanship, we fix it. If it’s damage or misuse, we’ll show you how we decided. No gray areas.
Where You’ll See Our Terms

We also restate the big items—payments, change orders, warranty, and communication—inside every proposal so nothing gets missed.
We Keep It Updated
If a project ever exposes a blind spot, we fix it in writing. Each update makes the next job smoother. That’s how we’ve built a clear, steady process in West Texas.
Bottom Line
A clear, signed contract backed by solid Terms & Conditions protects everyone. It isn’t about distrust—it’s about respect and accountability on both sides. Put it in writing, do the work, stand behind it.
That’s the Alpha way.
